Personally I find driving in France something else - an apparent obsession with being in the passing lane for as little time as possible. Like if you’re passing 2 lorries with 3 car lengths between them you absolutely do not need to pull in between them only to pull out again 2 seconds later.

God help you if you’re not passing something quickly enough for the driver behind you will sit 6 inches off your ass with the blinkers going.

It’s unnerving as fuck to watch a train of 10 cars, all doing 130km/h, 6 inches apart with one or two dudes weaving in and out of lanes, not leaving anything like a safe distance to the vehicle behind when they switch into either lane.

Because you spend the entire time trying to match the small variations in someone else’s speed which is a distraction vs pootling along at your own pace. Also even going just a couple of km/h faster than someone you drop them pretty quick.

I do understand that, but equally it doesn’t follow the convention we use for the rest of the numbers.

I’d guess ten one, ten two, ten three

Quatre vingt dix neuf is hands down my favourite french number. It’s only one syllable more than ninety nine.

Haven’t seen violet in a while.
