That is simply not correct.
The development happened when humanity started walking upright. It had nothing to do with shoes.
So it is not more natural.
And why is that?
There can be a few reasons. Sensory, coordination, neurological… Usually it simply feels more natural.
…pretending to have digitigrade legs…
to walk like animals who walk on their toes
I do not believe that is as relevant as you think it is.
There is a certain overlap between autistic people and furries/therians, but that is very much not usually the reason for this behaviour.
EDIT: usually
I’m not really a furry, but this is still part of it for me
I don’t walk like this, but it is more natural. We would walk like that barefoot. Heel first is a shoe thing
Heel first walking is entirely normal on most flat-ish surfaces.
Heel first running quickly becomes painful on anything but soft grass, if you don’t have modern shoes.
Yes, I confused it with something I saw about running
That is simply not correct. The development happened when humanity started walking upright. It had nothing to do with shoes. So it is not more natural.
You are right. I was also talking about which part of the foot hits the ground first
I understood what you meant, I’m just saying heel first is not a shoe thing. It’s a walking upright thing.
Yes, I didn’t disagree with that. I just meant that I got two things wrong.
Never thought about that thanks for educagting :3
Furry
TIL 196 hates furries
I think the person just listed another reason, walking somewhat like a digitigrade creature.
(I see their comment just got downvoted so far.)
Thank you.
Oh, makes sense, thanks
Oh wow, and?
Tf you mean and?
Usually when someone says “furry” without context is pointing out the other user is a furry, happens too often
