Didn’t teal’c bang a human woman in the episode where he got an apartment? So he has an odd stance.

I don’t count him banging other Jaffa as alien because they are the same species.

Was that implied to have happened? I didn’t think so. They practiced martial arts together and went on the run, but I didn’t think they ever got physical.

EDIT: I just skipped around the episode again. They kissed in the hotel room and Teal’c woke up half naked. With how much Stargate SG-1 avoids the concept of sex, sure, I can see how that’s implied here.

“things are getting romantic” followed immediately by at least one of the people waking up, especially in a state of undress, is how many old shows indicate people got intimate.

They couldn’t exactly show sex on screen the way some streaming services do.

I wonder if they could have, but just chose not to. Famously, the pilot included full frontal nudity because the network pressured them into it, then nothing like that ever happened again in the show because the producers didn’t want it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the network would have loved for them to include a sex scene with Teal’c, but that the producers simply didn’t want to.

It is my understanding that they did try to put Carter in custom skimpier uniforms. You can get away with that setting your sci-fi in the 23rd century but not the present-day USAF, so Amanda Tapping got regulation uniforms. The least accurate part of her ensemble was the FN P90. They tried sexing her up on occasion but it never really works.

Right around the time Paramount hired Jeri Ryan, the Sci-Fi network had a brilliant idea: You know who doesn’t have to conform to USAF uniform regulations? The Tok’ra! Enter Vanessa Angel in a grey vinyl halter top.

The show started on Showtime. It moved to Sci-Fi I think after season 3, so by then they really couldn’t. There’s also one or two "bullshit"s earlier on.

Stargate Universe was also Sci-Fi, but they seemed to have no problems depicting sex in that show. Looking at the other titles on that network’s list of programs, there was definitely plenty of sex on that network. I mean, that network had Lexx.

              The shit I found:

              Episode Timestamp Line Note
Within the Serpent’s Grasp 28:26 That’s bullshit! Now, let him talk to me.
Metamorphosis 0:36 Jonas, you are such a chickenshit. On my version, the “shit” part is pretty covered up by a klaxon blaring, but if I remember correctly, some versions said the word very clearly.
Collateral Damage 29:26 Target is destroyed. Oh, shit. In my version, he just sighs. But in one transcript, he says “oh, shit”. That may just be a poor fan transcription, though
Some Atlantis Episode IDK Oh, shit! Rodney turns around and suddenly encounters a Wraith, and I remember there being arguments about whether or not he said “shit”

Maybe but banging that woman was obviously necessary in the long war against the Goa’uld, so you can see how it was dictated by necessity
