this one isn’t thc but it’s funny

also obligatory fuck carts, this post was made by the dry herb valorization club (for home use, there’s somewhat valid arguments otherwise)

Idk if it’s just me, but carts always make me uncontrollably cough compared to smoking or even taking dabs off my rig. Every cart I’ve tried tastes bad or tickles my throat lol

    • Complete opposite for me, but I still prefer smoking. Edibles are the best, but get expensive quick.

Carts are usually smooth for me and then I’m glued to whatever surface I was on. I don’t particularly like feeling the way I do with vape carts, but they are good for when I wake up at 3am, I’m asleep before the negative feelings show up.

Always like the feeling when I hit a bong, even if it sometimes makes me cough a lung or three out.

Voltage too high. Gotta get a battery that lets you adjust it. The legal carts here are amazing. Great flavor. Gotta do it a low voltage though or else I get that same bad taste/throat tickle

Probably because you’re actually smoking the cart. Some of that vapor is the smoking implement. You could put the cleanest concentrates in disposable carts and they’d still taste like shit because you’re probably smoking plastic or something else that isn’t THC.

Nice devices won’t burn any plastic or other material, but you’re right—almost all carts are not nice carts. Ideally the kanthal won’t heat up enough to burn anything, or vaporize anything other than the viscous liquid inside. Difficult to do that with something more viscous than PG/VG solution, though! Even 100% VG, much less viscous than THC solutions, is difficult to get right.

Why I avoid anything disposables/ carts.

Divine Tribe’s v5 is where it’s at. Their heater cups are the opposite of disposable. With minimum cleaning I’ve had heating elements last six plus months. Every few sessions you just up the voltage and burn it clean and it literally turns shiny and new. I’ve only had the elements break from drops.

Though you will knock people on their ass if they’re expecting your typical pen and instead they’re pretty much getting a dab.

The only ones I’ve enjoyed are something like “Live rosin” and “Diamonds” or whatever, those are super tasty and stuff. Oil carts are horrible.

Anything live and liquid diamonds is going to be way cleaner but still an oil cart.

Distillates are rougher with more plant material and tend to burn hotter leading to more coughing.

Storz & Bickel’s Volcano is a great device. It’s not cheap, but it’s been one of the best investments (covid stim check) I ever made.

Dynavap is a great starter, DaVinci worked out nicely for precise dosing, Pax seemed a bit low-end and ran too hot, Volcano would easily be my favorite.

The local dispensary is trying to convince me to buy one but idk. How is the smell? I live with other people and we have a rule of no smoking in the house because we don’t want the place smelling like that.

If you’ve ever baked it to decarb for eddies it’s the same dry earthy smell for most but still changes depending on temperature and terpenes. If you use the bad and turn off the fan, the volcano is not too smelly, and Dyna is small enough it’s less offensive than an oil vape.

Remember your decarbed flower is not burned, and is activated and great for edibles best @ 180-190°C
