As a frequent cannabis user the number of people who claim to be able to hit a vape or take some gummies and still drive is insane to me. The loss of reaction time and concentration alone, even being mildly high i couldn’t fathom getting behind the wheel.

You’re the one with the faulty argument and you’re not answering the question because you know it exposes your argument as such either way.

Sure sounds to me like you are defending that rapists “rights” rather than subject them to a punishment they richly deserve. I think there would be a lot fewer rapists in the world if we made sure we actually made sure their actions had appropriate consequences.

How is it a false equivalence? One person broke a rule and might receive legal consequences, and the act certainly merits something more severe than that. Do you not think the legal consequences are not enough in that case? Because following your logic here, you would defend that rapist.
Again the only difference is where you draw the line, and that defeats the moral purity of your terrible argument. Abusers deserve the abuse they receive. End of fucking story.

So if someone raped my daughter, you would defend that rapist from me trying to break every bone in their body?
If yes, something is deeply wrong with you.
If not, then we agree that sometimes consequences beyond what the law prescribes are appropriate. We just disagree where the line is, and it makes your reasoning pretty hollow.

Sure, I guess. I suppose it is also illegal for me to beat the shit out of someone who tried to mug me. It’s against the rules for a kid bullied in school to fight back. Certain actions invite harsh consequences. Doesn’t mean it’s not an entirely appropriate consequence to suffer for having cheated on someone.
People don’t learn their lessons without consequences. And anyone who would violate someone’s trust like that certainly has a lesson that needs learning. I don’t get why you’re defending a cheater here, it is a very immature position to take in this situation and such an obvious and reasonable consequence for this person.

You can term this abuse if you want, but I see this as appropriate consequences for a hurtful act IMO. If you don’t like that don’t cheat.

I am utterly devoid of any sympathy for a cheater. Sorry but it takes a lot of shameless gall to sue someone or press charges for anything after they catch you cheating.
The volcano is great, one of my favorite purchases ever. That said, anyone claiming it doesn’t smell might have a skewed frame of reference. It won’t stink up your apartment as bad as smoking for sure, but vaping flower absolutely smells like pot and it will be very noticeable if it’s your daily driver and/or your landlord visits while you are using it. If it’s just occasional use you may be fine but honestly this thing will become a daily driver. So fucking good. Makes pot last forever, even when my tolerance is high my wife and I can split a half gram and be sent to space.
Their portable dry vapes might be more up your alley. The Mighty is also excellent, but I haven’t tried their smaller models.

Calling these turds out for being dumbasses doesn’t mean we’re defending Netflix. Netflix sucks. These guys suck. What is happening to these guys is hardly the result of Netflix’s actions.
What I DO see a lot of on Lemmy is a lot of immature black-and-white thinking where the bad actions of one entity are used to assume that the opposite side are the good guys. Calling out bad behavior does not absolve the bad behavior of their opponents.
The people defending this as ‘not racism’… way to miss the point. If this was some BBQ joint in Texas with a sign that says closed in Spanish but open in English you wouldn’t be posting these comments
As a stoner I’m with you. You’re driving a death machine, you should be stone cold sober behind the wheel. That said, are we talking testing positive for THC as in they were actively high, or simply that they had it in their system? Because it persists for quite a long time after the high ends.
