No, how the heck i am gonna guess how much caffeine is in my moka or espresso coffee? It depends how much grounded coffee i used, the quantity of water etc etc there is no fucking way i am goin to calc all that
One espresso shot is roughly 60 mg per ounce. The mocha has a measurable amount of coffee in it. Theresa no reason for the number to be exact. You’re not doing science, you keeping a rough tally. If you get 430mg instead of 370, it’s not going to make that much of a difference. Just get a good approximation to make sure you’re not getting like 700.
Not every moka is the same size and you can also put different quantities of coffee and water to change the flavor, which is what I do and idk about ya, i am not gonna measure it, too much of an hassle otherwise, especially if i am sleepy and i must go to work
Coffee averages about 12mg per ounce. A quick estimate is better than nothing, so you can assume you should keep it below 36 oz per day, or 4 mugs, size dependant.
There’s a huge variance around this though. Size of cup, amount of ground coffee used, variety of coffee (robusta has much higher caffeine than arabica), how roasted it is…
It might be around 150 mg per cup, but could easily be nearly half or nearly double that.
In my experience, judging from the subjective felt effect when drinking it, the amount of caffeine in filter coffee can vary by a factor 3x depending on brewing technique. I just came back from the U.K. and the hotel breakfast coffee there did less for me in three cups than a single cup from my Fellow Aiden coffee brewer at home. I used to cold brew coffee but had to stop because the apparently higher caffeine content gave me heart problems.
A cup of drip coffee is 150-200 on average. Multiply based on a pessimistic interpretation, then reduce.
You could also measure UV light absorbtion in the 260-280 nm band and compare to a calibration chart. That seems a lot more excessive than just estimating and working to reduce, as opposed to targeting a specific number.
You can get in bed earlier it doesn’t mean you’ll fall asleep
Stick to a consistent sleep schedule and regulate caffeine intake to less than 400mg
But also there are people that may need medication or just simply people that can’t do anything
Blackout curtains may also be necessary depending on when you need to be up
How would you even begin to know your caffeine intake
Basic math? Are you unaware of how much coffee/tea/soda you consume in a given period or did you forget the /s?

I mean all (or maybe most) pregnant women calculate it. It sucks and usually means you just have to leave a huge margin of error
I’m aware of the amount of coffee, but unaware of the caffeine content in that coffee

Filter coffee is around 150mg caffeine per cup.
Espresso 80mg per shot.
Thst should get you through the math of caffeine intake.

Caffeine pills. Alternatively, basically the same way you do alcohol
i feel theres also a pretty large variance in the population of caffeine sensitivity.
I’ve never noticed the effects of caffeine. I don’t say it doesn’t affect me, but I’ve never felt it.

Making a habit will make it easier though
