Of the around 8 computers in my house I am down to just a single Windows machine and every time I see an update queued I wonder just how much worse it will be after the update is applied. How many new bugs, reset settings and user hostile shit will I have to put up with this time.

Open PowerShell as Administrator.
Run: iwr -useb https://christitus.com/win | iex
Navigate to the Tweaks tab and apply the Essential Tweaks profile to safely disable residual telemetry and scheduled tasks.
Sycnex Windows10Debloater for any remaining tweaks.
I hit the point a while ago of just setting my connection as metered so it doesn’t download any updates. I know it’s less secure, but I just want to use my computer and not spend hours fixing problems they create with every update.
I just install 10 LTSC on the computers I REALLY need windows on. The updates have no new features at this point, just security. I don’t use it too much, but it’s just less obnoxious than 11.

Move to ltsc if you have to use Windows. You don’t get the updates everyone else gets. Just security updates.
I second this - it’s a whole world of better … install with a few anti telemetry and anti-crap scripts.
