I’m actually surprised they haven’t used this line at all… ? Even on their awesome videos that angle isn’t played. Makes no sense.
It’s not so much that -as a Connecticut Yankee that moved into the south. The south is a wonderful place rich with history, great wilderness, and a fairly decent people that still value hospitality. It’s also full of sparsely filled main streets and ghost towns with only 2 Dollar Generals and a host of mom and pop stores that have gone out of business. This person is trying to convey this difference and is an inarticulate asshat. I’ll tell you this - I can’t get good healthcare but I can get a smoked tenderloin biscuit at 6 places on the way to work that puts fast food to shame. It is also not very healthy. I no longer care.
TN here - They don’t have garbage cans or squeegees / window cleaners. The crap they sell is overpriced swill. The bathrooms are very clean. Food is fair and overpriced. I’d rather go to a Loves any day.

You know, the amount of times our lives have been made more expensive in the last 2 years is too damned high. Who will pocket the refunds this time?
Same way with hot pockets, you can’t drip any hot sauce or grease on your face because there’s almost nothing in them. These days I make my snacks.
You have to take small victories while understanding the bigger picture. It will still be glorious, although I am saving up cheap 100 proof vodka as the asshat does not deserve good booze or my money in buying said booze. I might add a champagne if it’s less than 20 bucks.
It’s coming … As an older American who remembers how good life was in the 70s and 80s compared to now, I think it’s going to get far worse before life becomes beneficial again for most of us. I’m too old to be out in the streets causing trouble so to keep my ass from doom scrolling into madness I’ve re started my music hobby after 30 years.
So sometime in the future while setting up your Raspberry Pi to run Ubuntu desktop to run your media to the projector you can ditch the
sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras
Sudo apt install ffmpeg
That’s the last place I’ve seen it and it was a bad idea anyway as the Pi’s decoder sucked ass for certain media.
I hiked Washington in the 80’s with my scout troop. We were very jealous of the car people and train people at the museum and gift shop at the top. The whole climb I was wanting to take a leak off the top and instead I used the museums mens room. Mind blown.
