I love this movie. The premise is so silly, but the pacing is perfect and we get some surprisingly great performances. It’s also full of all the mid-2000s tech and military tropes. So much fun.
Moral and successful? Even if this guy was addicted to meth (which you don’t know) it’s one of the most addictive drugs on the planet. Being an addict doesn’t make anyone less of a person.

There are enough reasons to hate him. You don’t have to judge people for what they look like.
I think a lot of the Malört hate is hype. People love talking about how disgusting it is, and that’s just become the thing to do when anyone mentions it. The first time I tried it I thought, “I can understand why people don’t like it, but it’s just an herbal spirit like many others.” I tried it a second time years later and said, “Ah, okay. This really is disgusting.”
Jesus christ dude. A few years ago we were marching hopelessly towards extinction, and then a handful of psychopaths decided we should be sprinting. One day a more intelligent lifeform will read our story as a classic tragedy.
