• Sixteen provincial capitals failed to meet the new annual PM2.5 standards
• PM2.5 levels rose year-on-year in eighteen provincial capitals in August
• Five provincial capitals exceeded the annual ozone limit
• Ozone levels rose year-on-year in fifteen provincial capitals in August
• Multi-pollutant pressure still concentrated in northern capitals

This is pure propaganda.

Another weird comparison. Mississippi isn’t a shithole imo, nor is China. But the Chinese government is a dictatorship, and so is Russia. They are bad. There are a lot of well-sourced reports from reliable sources you could read to learn about it.

The daily deluge of Chinese criticism is propaganda, even if it is all 100% true.

This is a weird comparison imo. The Chinese spokesman has said that, and both countries’ governments have been hailing their ‘ironclad friendship’ frequently in the past, while China is a decisive supporter of Russia’s war against Ukraine, amongst others.

I agree with the quality of the media in principle, but this is just a report from a press conference in China. The outlet is just quoting a simple statement by one of China’s government spokesmen. There is no investigation.

And this is definitely not ‘anti-Chinese propaganda’. Also, the reports critical of China that I can read here on Lemmy and elsewhere are mostly well-sourced and published by highly reliable sources, and therefore, absolutely justified.
