Where does poop come into this? Regardless of what whether anyone thinks “goes well with” refers to JUST eating (which it doesn’t. “those pants go well with that shirt” isn’t saying you’re eating them), where does the poop come in? They said cocaine, cannabinoids, and cacao, where is there any poop mentioned for anyone to be eating?

No reason it wouldn’t be. Ground up vs tree down is more about if controlling a jump or a fall comes before the gliding.
Personally I see the researchers who place bat locomotion as most analogous to how pterosaurs would’ve moved, and then further reason that our evidence points more towards bats being tree down (but we’re STILL not sure on that one because everything that flys evolves too fuckin fast) and that would also mean pterosaurs are PROBABLY also a tree down evolutionary path.
Of course, I’m not a scientist with any sort of official opinions, but I also feel like your babies surviving a fall from a canopy by gliding would have more evolutionary weight and result in the super fast adaptation towards flight than controlling jumps.

Plus fossils can form, emerge, and erode away before humans even evolved, thus removing our chances of knowing about species that DID have a chance to fossilize, all because bad luck said the geology between now and then would fuck our knowledge over.
Yea, that’s how they get the ol’ two-fer. They persecute YOU until
theyre about to cumyou resist, THEN theyedge themselvesscreech about how you’re persecuting them by resisting

In the face. Apologize after he shot you IN THE FACE.
I mean at least with an ant colony, if you fuck up being a door they’ll just kill you instead of letting you live with the embarrassment.
Honestly I think it depends how locked into the story you are? Like if you’re waking up during one of the prologues, esp nomad/streetkid, I’d imagine you can just walk away from the story and live a “normal” life. But is Keanu already in your head trying to take over? Or do you just wake up at Ch1 with Jackie trying to get you killed and a bit of a chance?
How? Not great casting by just going with the biggest name, but I really fail to see the nepotism.
Blame Tim Burton for loving them both too much (actually married HBC).

Yea, what state charges lol?
“Congrats, you beat your federal murder case, but what about your state murder and local manslaughter cases‽ Muahahahaha”
Like that’s the whole fucking point of double jeopardy. One crime, one trial, which is why they work to decide on whether the best charges should be state or federal BEFORE they charge anyone with a crime. The judicial system ultimately decides which court has the most relevance to the crime and that’s it.

The amount they pay isn’t even some federal mandate or anything either. There are some municipal and county courts in the country where you’ll be paid nothing. Maximum you won’t be fired from your job if it’s a long trial. If you don’t have some sort of paid leave, get fucked you get to lose money.
Because why not? It’s in the same view as thought experiments. Things that make you go “huh”. Nobody is being weird about it, they just aren’t being serious about it.
I’m not sure if you’re missing that the whole point is that trying to treat “common” terms like scientific terms creates logical conundrums like this because nature isn’t about clean lines and groups.
The whole point of saying “Whales are fish” and things like that is as a reminder that human classification (even detailed and precision-focused scientific classification) is still just a human construct we use to order the world around us. It’s arbitrary what is and is not a fish.
In fact we see science educators bring this up so much, I think, because it’s important to be able to answer “why don’t the scientists just call them fish?” when discussing ray finned fishes or something like that and this discussion is helpful practice for that.
I was hoping someone would post this lol
