It was a change in perspective that completely changed the way I think about food.

I used to buy in bulk and throw away far too much. Then I started thinking about the journey behind everything I was wasting. The chicken I was about to throw in the garbage was once a living animal, cared for on a farm, before being processed, packaged, frozen, transported, and stocked in a supermarket all for me to eventually throw it away.

The same applies to everything we eat. Fruit has to be grown, watered by nature, picked, packaged, transported, and stored before it reaches us.

That perspective changed the way I see food. Now, whenever I look at something I’m about to eat or waste, I see the time, resources, people, and life that went into getting it there. It has made me far more conscious of what I buy, what I use, and what I throw away.

Have the ISP place their gateway/router into bridge mode. This will pass the public WAN IP directly to your router, allowing it to handle NAT, firewall policies, and port forwarding without double NAT.

I’ve been hosting public-facing servers for several years and regularly run dedicated servers for my son. I keep the ISP gateway in the setup because they provide a substantial discount for using their modem/router rather than connecting the UDM Pro directly to the fiber ONT.
