Ha! Shows what you know. I got a 256 year subscription at only 10x the price!
Not that i’m aware of. Start10 can replace the default start menu though. https://www.stardock.com/products/start10/
The twitter thread is a fabrication.
The react native shit? all true. True enough that MS made an announcement talking about how they had removed it even. https://www.windowslatest.com/2026/03/21/microsoft-confirms-windows-11-start-menu-performance-boost-shift-to-winui-from-web-based-components/
As far as I can tell, react native is a way to make easy cross-compatible gui components in javascript. One of the more stupid things ms has done lately.
you dont get to sacrifice peoples bodily autonomy because it might be good for fucking society.
Just curious, what’s your position on vaccinations?
Lmaoooooo. What if people started pressing start to fix their game fps because that?
Ah gotcha. So it’s not strictly correct to call the whole start menu a react application, just a part of it that always loads when you press the start button.
I’m all for being correct, but MS absolutely deserves being clowned on for this.
Uh huh. And who pays for the medical bills after someone gets shot in the spine and decides they no longer want to ‘consent’ to this farce of an idea?
i think society in general just gets the ick from the idea of people consenting to things being done to their body that they personally dont understand or would never want and tries to stop it to satisfy their own feelings. we see this applied to all kinds of things like abortion, body modification, drug use, suicide, gender transition, sex acts, sexual partners, etc.
These are not all the same thing. Drug use costs society, not just the drug user. Bridge/train jumpers are some of the most selfish people out there; forcing your suicide onto an unrelated driver is the epitome of an asshole move.
Your body your choice is right, but that stops right at the line where it crosses over into other peoples lives.
My point being, duels to the death very easy to argue against simply because of the societal cost of managing them, while completely ignoring any so called ‘ick factor’ it may or may not have on the majority of people.
Would you be one the people to sign up for body cleaning duty? Would you be happy paying taxes for the dueling arena where it is impossible to prove that there was consent the whole time, every time?

Oh it was. Google timeline should have never become a thing for anyone worried about privacy.
The thought behind it is actually pretty neat though. Being able to see a list of places you’ve previously visited is just super neat to have. Hosting it at home just means that nobody else has that information.
I’m still sad that the RUSp didn’t work out.
If you want to cut out your ISP device entirely, you will need to know exactly what setup your ISP has given to you, and then match that with your own hardware. The https://pon.wiki/ and servethehome forums are a great place to start for this.
If your ISP device has a passthrough mode that you are happy with using, practically any device with two gigabit ports will work for a 1gbps internet connection. I use a https://friendlyelec.com/ device, because they come with friendlywrt preinstalled, but your choice of router software is basically entirely preference based.
Mine helped me stay focused and stepped in when the rubber duck went on holiday.
That’s the joke. First face is happy. Second face is not actually happy because the situation has begun to set in.
It’s got IR built-in too.
With the unfortunate result being that your new tire is now just as worn as your other three tires. Not an issue if the flat is relatively new, but it get worse the older your other three tires are.
I don’t have awd, so I usually just replace two tires and get em rotated as needed instead. It feels like the best middle ground available to me.
It’s more expensive, but I grabbed a vero 4k a couple years back and have been really happy with it. They’ve since put out a new model with av1 support. https://osmc.tv/vero/
It’s just about the best possible dedicated jellyfin client box out there, so I felt it was worth the extra squeeze when I got it. (HDR support even!) It’s all open source though, so support for things like YouTube, netflix, or any other streaming doesn’t really exist in user friendly manner.
I use a vero 4k. They’ve since dropped support (after seven years) and put out a new model with av1 support. It stills works incredibly well as a jellyfin client box.
Yes, you’re very clever.
