Worth a watch because it does a good job showing just how insanely dangerous it is putting out a well fire. There’s some real footage of Red and his team in it.

Explosives create a vacuum, removing one of three components needed for a fire to burn, in this case oxygen. The jet engines do not create a vacuum. They also remove one of the three needed components, but it is not oxygen. It is the heat that gets removed. So totally different concepts.
