    Cart retrieval doesn’t add up to a significant hourly need

    Not when good little capitalist serfs keep bringing the carts back on their own it doesn’t!

      Not even if they didn’t. It’s like an hour of labor over the course of a day tops, for a store that has two dozen full time employees working every day. That’s like 200 daily man-hours minimum for a mid-sized store. Cart retrieval is ½% of labor at most. It’s a rounding error. Clocking in early and clocking out late account for more hours than are spent retrieving carts.
