I am not a fan of religions and do not like none of these religions and have my own grudges with some of its followers but what I am seeing is that there is an increase in enormous hate towards Jews and Muslims especially from right and far right people like oh no! there will be a Sharia state, look at UK, Juice are responsible and like demonization of these two groups. Many Jews, who are atheists, also get hate comments below their videos where they express their Jewish identity or something related to that.

    Amusingly, as a Jew.

I actually have seen a massive decrease in actual antisemitism.

Muslims are being demonized in much the same way Jews where in Nazi Germany, by much the same people, for much the same reason.

Damn, the videos that are coming to my algorithm have some Jewish influencers taking side of far right against Islam and some Jewish pages like standwithus is showing that antisemitism has increased a lot.

Absolutely. Islamophobia is a good way to make people more willing to go die in Iran. Israel is actively trying to use Jews as human shields by equating antizionism and antisemitism, and the old school neo-nazis love that.

wait ain’t the nazis old school and neo nazis their later offspring? And for Muslim hatred, I think that right is using this to remove Muslim population living in their countries.

I don’t think the far-right ever stopped doing that. But sadly they are getting more mainstream in many places.

        Israel ≠ Jews

Israel is rightfully getting criticized. They’re actively committing genocide and have been attempting to at least since they attempted to forcibly take the West Bank from Palestine.

The same government and Israeli elites are lobbying and sending massive bribes to United States politicians through AIPAC to continue providing military support to Israel. Unsurprisingly, many Americans that don’t care to support said genocidal government are displeased with Israelites who have seemingly done nothing to condemn the actions of their leadership.

I remember saying in the early 2000s that “Muslims today have replaced jews as a political target”.

While true in a bush post-WTC world, today it’s mostly back to “normal” scaremongering by right wing shitheads trying to lure in chuds with xenophobia.

Antisemitism just for the sake of antisemitism is still a thing, but that’s mostly limited to outright neonazi/neofascist ideologies.

Note that the above is written independent of calling out Israel for its genocidal and apartheid policies. Fuck Israel and fuck IDF in particular.

I heard that Jewish students are facing antisemitism on campuses and like patients are reluctant to reveal their Jewish identity in certain hospitals of Australia. Is that true?

I can’t confirm a negative, but I can state as a Jew in California I’ve seen a lot of similar claims here in the US that were manufactured and false.

Fwiw, I’m only seeing this through channels I subscribe to in order to track this stuff. I see a lot of it, but not so much when I’m not seeking it out.

So some of this might be an effect of your own feed.

Coming from the right, that’s not new.
What is new from my view, though, is the fact that I have recently been seeing much more dislike for muslims and their customs from people I know to be pretty far to the left.
While bordering not quite “demonization” it is already used in a bit too much of generalization kind of way for my tastes.

Far to the left are also far to the atheism, so people coming around with ‘god this’, ‘god that’ and mostly inshallah, kinda gets those gears going as well.

Sure is something that you made this post about how “hey wow I’m seeing a lot of racism” and the racists immediately show up and go “well, yeah, why aren’t you racist?”

I think that answers your question 😅

Say that shit to my face and see what happens, racists.

Yo I’m a practicing Jew and I didn’t circumcize my kid: We don’t all do that, so please don’t hate the whole faith.

Also: like most Americans, I was circumcized, and while I don’t support the practice I don’t like when people refer to my dick as “mutilated”. That’s not really what being supportive of bodily autonomy looks like.

It is mutilation whether you call it that or not, just as FGM and IGM is

I’m glad that you didn’t mutilate your child

Respectfully, when you talk about other people’s bodies in disgust it gives the impression that you don’t actually care about the people who inhabit those bodies; you’re just another idealogue seeking the affirmation of your own worldview, just like your opponents.

I didn’t impose circumcision on my son because I want every person to be able to modify or maintain their body as they wish. Do you want the same? I’m curious if you support adult circumcision by choice and gender affirming surgery, or if you tell those people that they’re mutilated as well.

I support consensual surgeries and do not consider them mutilation, just as labiaplasty is an elective surgery adults can get, but cutting off the labia of a baby is genital mutilation
