Indeed. I loved SG1, enjoyed SGA, and got bored about halfway through the SGU pilot. Never really came back to it.
Maybe I should give it another try. It’s certainly been long enough since it stopped airing. What about the show really drew you in?
For me, the first time I saw Stargate SG1 on TV, I was like “Air force for sci-fi? Absolutely not.” But then I had a job working the night shift where about 2/3 of the job was “stay awake in case of emergency”. I could watch TV for part of the shift, and SG1 was the most interesting thing that was on…didn’t take me long to really get into the show.

For me it was the lost in space, surviving one crisis after another - billions of lightyears from earth.
Helps that the main character is a gamer kid lol, and I quickly fell in love with dr. Rush
