I like how the dog decided to sit as close as possible to one of his people, but keep a close eye on the other
and the cat is like “wtf am I doing in this tall metal tree”
Okay question, people who have this setup with their partner, how do you play games with them involving mics without echo. My partner and I have our computers in different rooms for this reason but we would rather be in the same room as each other. Is it not possible? Do people with this setup not play games together?
Push to talk isn’t an option?
It is I just hate it. Always forget to push
… headphones?
We use them but our mics, being so close to both of us, pick up the other person voice and transmit it, as they are in the habit of doing. If I speak I will hear my voice through their microphone in my headphones and they will experience the same when they speak. Causing an echo.
I’m side-by-side with my partner, and as long as we local mute each other its usually OK. If it gets bad we can always mute one of the mics and the other person just needs to shout a bit.
When you’re on the same call, switch to a single (non-headset) mic and mute the other person.
It’s also possible (albeit expensive) to get mics with background noise cancellation good enough for this proximity.
Yin and Yang.
