To be fair, cult members are actually drinking flavor-aid. I think vibe coders are actually eating sloppy joes.

    Look…

    if you had

    mom’s spaghetti…

would you capture it, or just let it slip?

yo! His palms spaghetti, knees weak, arms spaghetti!

there’s vomit on his sweater, spaghetti, mom’s spaghetti

he’s nervous, but on the surface, he looks calm spaghetti, to drop bombs

but he keeps on spaghetti what he wrote down

    The whole crowd goes spaghetti!

He opens his mouth but spaghetti won’t come out

he’s chokin’ how, everybody’s jokin’ now!

    spaghetti’s run out…

    time’s up, over! Blaugh!

snap back to spaghetti - oh there goes spaghetti, oh - there goes spaghetti

    blaugh!

he’s so mad, but won’t give up spaghetti

    nope, he won’t have it

he knows he keeps on forgetting

    that mom’s spaghetti’s dope

he knows that, but he’s broke, he’s so stagnant

he knows when he goes back to his mom’s spaghetti

that’s when it’s back to the lab again, yo

    this whole spaghetti

    better go capture spaghetti

and hope it don’t pass him

You better lose yourself in ya mom’s spaghetti! It’s ready!

you better never let it go!

you only get one spaghetti, do not miss your chance to blow

cause spaghetti comes once in a lifetime…

    YO!!!

      Is that a store brand?

They should have used this in their ads. “The not killing yourself brand!”

For the record, actual software engineers can instruct AI in a way that doesn’t make spaghetti of their projects. They thoroughly review and polish before committing the code. Which makes AI coding far more useful to those wielding that power.

But I know I’ll just be down voted for speaking truth on this platform, so go ahead and smash that button folks.

So you don’t think there’s any correlation with Microsoft saying they’re increasing their AI code and the significant increase in bugs / poor performance on their OS?

It’s the difference between getting AI to write your essay and getting it to draft your essay. It’s a tool, not a replacement for human work.

That being said, it’s a tool that’s actively endangering our future livelihoods.

lol “wielding that power”, reads like some scifi gadget beyond human comprehension, that sows terror and famine among the infidels

I agree wholeheartedly with this. Just because AI made the concepts accessible to novices doesn’t mean they have the temperament or experience to not make a mess.

AI has been a huge boon for our development but we also have people that know how to build software, review code, manage commits, follow architectural guidelines, and call out junk when they see it.

Having AI blindly write you a crappy application doesn’t make you a “developer” any more than having Excel makes you an “accountant.”
