If every man is a king, no man is a king. What would that even mean? Everyone just do as they please? Send your armies made of other (lesser?) kings who inexplicably follow your orders to attack the lands of other kings who themselves defend their property by throwing hordes of lesser kings at your kings?

Or is that what the last sentence is about? As soon as your lands are under attack by criminals you’re no longer a king? Then what? Do you go pleading to the surrounding kings to please form an army to defend you and help you get back to kinghood?

Also, those criminals attacking a king’s house and making him not a king, they are kings thenselves, remember? Doesn’t that legitimise their actions since kings can do as they please?
