Tl;dr: 75-yo old woman attacks the employees over a sandwich, rips hair from one of them, put that hair in her purse, calls the police and dies.

At that point, two other employees intervened, and as they were pulled apart, a “chunk of hair” was pulled from the shift lead’s head, “leaving a raw area.”

Once separated, the employees got behind the counter and Grayson sat down, taking a phone call. She was seen picking up the shift lead’s hair and putting it in her bag, police said.

Medical records obtained by investigators after her death showed she had recently been treated for congestive heart failure, hypertension, shortness of breath, and other complaints related to cardiovascular issues.

But not “being a cunt”, so I guess that was her decision, not a medical condition.

Seriously, who curses at minimum-wage teenage workers doing their jobs and physically attacks them!? The world is a slightly better place now…

So, be happy that your dad would be proud of you. You’re a chip off the old block.

Is “taking it out on other people” the same as physically attacking them? Because she could have killed these young people if they hadn’t defended themselves and banded together. She might have snuffed out their entire lives because she felt shitty!

I genuinely feel bad for your dad and for this lady. It’s terrible and it’s unfair. But, like anyone dealing with something chronic, it’s also their responsibility to manage. If they can’t, they have no business being in society with other people…

just because it’s their responsibility to manage it doesn’t mean they can manager it. or their loved ones can.

do you think we should lock everyone up who is dealing with physical and mental problems that may overwhelm them? throw my dad in jail because what, he’s in so much pain and depression that he can’t think straight?

what about my mom who had dementia? oh right, well yeah we did put her in ‘jail’ in a full time care facility, but it also cost us $12,000/mo.

If they’re going around attacking people yeah. People like that need to be handled, not allowed to go around inflicting themselves on everyone else. It sucks but minimum wage workers aren’t trained or compensated to be carers for the mentally unwell.

She wasn’t beaten to death for being rude. She attacked a manager for telling her to leave after berating a 17 year old employee. She punched the manger in the face, yanked her to the ground by the hair and continued punching her while on the ground. The manager only got away after the chunk of hair she was being held by was ripped out of her scalp.

She died from a heart attack because she started a fight with a 20 year old girl while having congestive heart failure. The manager even brought her a cup of water to a person who just assaulted her because they were worried about them.

“This is a heartbreaking situation for everyone involved and especially for Ms. Grayson’s family,” the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said in an update on the case Friday.

And not especially heart breaking for the employee who got their hair ripped put by a psycho and then had to watch that psycho doe and then live for months under the threat of having to go to jail for being attacked?

I’d say the cunt is fine, the family likely is relieved she’s gone, I feel for the basic income employee

100% correct. Back in the late 70s/early 80s I had an uncle, technically my grandmothers brother. He’d never married and she was widowed so they shared a house together. In retrospect, I think he was probably a closeted gay man.

Anyway, All through my young years he was a very kind and generous man. Smart too. He bought a Commodore home computer when they first came out and let me play games on it. He used it to write up a family history of everything he knew about our family’s past. He also make a cookbook of all my grandmother’s recipes. He printed both of those out and gave a copy to every household in the family. He had a shocking level of technological aptitude for a 60ish year old man in the early 80s.

Then one day he changed. I was young and nobody told me exactly what it was. Maybe a stroke or something. From that day on he was as mean as a snake. He’d rip into anyone over anything. Not violently, I don’t think, anyway. But he’d scream and swear and slam things and be generally viscous. It was as if my uncle just died and was replaced by a scary, mean old-man who looked just like him.

While this woman may have been a bitch all her life, I’ve known plenty of healthy, young people who were no better than this. She might also have been emotionally disturbed and no longer the person that she was. Without more information, we’ll never know.

WHO ASSAULTED SOMEONE WHO WAS PROTECTING THEMSELVES

Funny how all you hand wringing creative writers are trying so desperately to leave that part out and invent some fictional narrative that she was a kind, sweet woman who was ravaged by undiagnosed psychosis that no one has any evidence of.

Elderly woman has a total breakdown due to medical condition and somehow that’s not the headline. This could be a real conversation about how elder care and how maybe it isn’t a great idea to have the elderly in charge of things unless they’re under constant medical supervision. Instead the top comment is “over fucking a sandwich- what a bitch!” Anita Grayson may have lived like a saint for all we know. At least, up until her body breaking down causes psychosis - which can happen to literally any one of us.

    What a fucking stupid society.

There is literally nothing in the article about psychosis.

You are writing prose based on nothing but your desire to muddy the water and refusal to believe someone old cant be a fucking aggressive asshole just because they are simply an asshole.

And let me tell you, Plenty of young, aggressive assholes grow into old aggressive assholes who are still convinced they can slap people around and get what they want, like they did with their children when they were 4.
