i’m realizing now that i could have just traced the photo buuuut all those pretentious art people always say “tracing is terrible and you should never do it” and they they go on a rand about image gen, sooooo i won’t do it. proportions are off by quite a bit. eh, oh well.

i want to make more mamaposts. those are fun, that’s the mood i’m in right now. but also i know that those might come across as too direct or so. i mean, look at this one from ancient times… gosh, those were different times and i do kinda want those to come back. i want to be more forward, not just in comments but in posts as well.
and i guess nothing is stopping me, but i’m always thinking “does this fit on 196?” and the answer is “not really”. but like - most of my stuff doesn’t fit on here sooo… i’m my own filter.
purpleposts are great too but there is a limit to how many scenarios i come up with which

  • make sense in a 2 - 6 panel comic
  • feel safe to share with y’all
  • make the reader feel fuzzies
  • don’t go too far while still being exciting

sooooo what to post?

      I have made one nsfw drawing which you might have seen, not sure. but I don’t necessarily wanna make more of those… that was more of an impulse thing.
      and being reeeally honest, posting actual nsfw drawings on 196 does feel like its the wrong place for it.

      i like the wonderful gentleness I get to put into purpleposts, but right now pushing that into spicy territory feels wrong.

      also why did put the image I had in my post already into your comments? whaaaaat----

      but ye imma be a bit looser on what imma put out here, starting today (you’ll see)

    tracing is not at all terrible, if u ask a real artist if u can trace their work with attribution, they likely will say yes. Tracing is only evil when it’s plagiarism.

          yes! and wha tan aaweeeeesome keyboards it is. have had it for about… 4months by now? or even more, can’t remember. Aaaand now I’m already faster and better at typing than I was earlier.

          this - thing - rules. all the configuration stuff makes it even more fun, like a thing to explore. it is a bit loud tho. dunno if its the brown switches or the caps. might be the caps… still quieter than my mothers board.

            I have to admit, I thought it was great at first, but now I prefer to use a more compact and far more ergomech keyboard, and I have never used a more comfortable one. I still occasionally use the Moonlander for gaming, tho CdtnT9j2A4aRgq8.jpg

        I love my ergos! I have two of the og version, one of which I’ve converted to usb c, and two more of the ergo s. I use the two s versions at home and work, and the converted one travels with me in my work bag.

        Also it works fine in shooters imo, but my choice of mouse is probably not my limiting factor in being competitive lol.

      hehe yeaaaaa >v< turns out that mouse is essentially what ZSA marketed their keyboard with.

      i end up switching between navigating the mouse with just the keys and the mouse honestly. the mouse reach is something that gets really straining when done a whole bunch.

    I have that keyboard too!! Though I’ve ended up not daily driving it in favor of my cutie 40%. I’m honestly pretty bad at touch typing and the split keeb helps force me to stay on the home row and actually learn where the keys are relative to my fingers, not relative to the keyboard. Though I partially blame my stubby little pinky fingers for me not really learning touch typing as a kid. Like if I want to hit Q I end up having to twist my whole left wrist a bit outward in order to be able to reach my pinky up to the top row and I don’t find it particularly comfy. The ortholinear layout helps some, and the Moonlander’s vertical staggering also helps a little, but I think I technically need a fully custom PCB :/
