A majority of the hate crimes in NYC are committed against Jews. It seems pretty reasonable to me for the mayor to be addressing the problems specific to the city.

Jewish isn’t a race, so antisemitism isn’t racism. I think the word you’re looking for is ‘bigotry’.
Also, not all Jewish people are zionists just like not all black people are criminals or hispanics illegal immigrants. Those are the types generalizations used by bigots to target demographics they don’t like. You’re statement basicay says all Jewish people are complicit in genocide, therefore the Jewish community doesn’t deserve protection against recent events leaving them vulnerable. There’s room for the government to assist both Jewish people and black people at the same time.
Current events have definitely put Jewish people more in the metaphorical cross hairs, so it’s relevant for an article to publicize that problem now. Systemic racism isn’t something a mayor can just solve over night. He has made other moves that help all people like more affordable housing as an example.
Other than major police reform, which isn’t an easy task in itself, what other actions would you like to see him take to tackle anti-black racism? Genuinely, I’m curious what he as mayor could do. I’ve liked what I’ve read about what he’s accomplished thus far and hope to continue seeing positive news about him, but what specifically can he do to fight racism?
