  • I didn’t recognize this person and people in the comments seem skeptical about this person:

I looked her up, i believe this is Rosie O’Donnell, comedian turned tv show presenter.

Relevant bits according to wiki on politics, ideology and Trump.

O’Donnell came out as a lesbian in 2002. An outspoken advocate for lesbian rights and gay adoption issues, she is a foster and adoptivemother.

From 2006 to 2007, O’Donnell endured a controversial run as the moderator on the daytime talk show The View, which included a public feud with future president Donald Trumpand on-air disputes regarding the Bush administration’s policies with the Iraq War.

In early 2025, shortly after Trump was inaugurated for a second presidential term, O’Donnell moved to Ireland and applied for Irish citizenship through descent.[2] In July 2025, Trump threatened to revoke her U.S. birthright citizenship.[3]

After the Columbine shootings, O’Donnell became an outspoken supporter of gun control

O’Donnell sometimes provoked debate, at one time stating “radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam.”[40] On the February 24, 2003, episode of Phil Donahue’s talk show, O’Donnell referred to the sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic archdiocese of Boston resulting in $157 million awarded to 983 claimants,[41] stating “I hope the Catholic Church gets sued until the end of time. Maybe, you know, we can melt down some of the gold toilets in the Pope’s Vatican and pay off some of the lawsuits because, the whole tenet of living a Christ-like life, has been lost in Catholicism.”[42]

In December 2006, O’Donnell criticized Donald Trump for holding a press conference to reinstate Miss USA Tara Conner, who had violated pageant guidelines, accusing him of using her scandal to “generate publicity for the Miss USA Pageant” (to which he owned the rights) by announcing he was giving her a second chance.[58][59] O’Donnell commented that due to Trump’s multiple marital affairs and questionable business bankruptcies, he was not a moral authority for young people in America. She stated, “Left the first wife, had an affair. Left the second wife, had an affair – but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America.”[59]In response, Trump began a “vicious” mass media blitz in which he appeared on various television shows, either in person or by phone, threatening to sue O’Donnell (he never did).[60]He called her names, insulted her by saying he would “send one of my friends to pick up her girlfriend [Kelli] and I think it would be easy”, and claimed that Barbara Walters regretted hiring her.[60][61][62][63]

Over her career, O’Donnell has developed a reputation for raising funds and her own philanthropy to charitable causes. In May 1996, Warner Books advanced O’Donnell $3 million to write a memoir.[116] She used the money to seed her For All Kids Foundation to help institute national standards for day care across the country.[116]

Since 1997, Rosie’s For All Kids Foundation, overseen by Elizabeth Birch, has awarded more than $22 million in Early Childhood Care and Education program grants to over 900 nonprofit organizations.[128] On October 30, 2006, she was honored by the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.[129] “It’s our privilege to be honoring and hosting Rosie,” said NYSPCC president David Stack in a statement.

O’Donnell is a Democrat.[143] She has contributed funds to multiple political campaigns, including to the campaign to elect Senator Doug Jones of Alabama.[144][145]

  • I believe the propaganda here is idea that some people are born special, brighter than every one else.

The message here is not that Bezos wants a trillion humans, the message is that the majority of people are not special and will never archive greatness (like him)

Rich people love to think they belong to this special group but it’s not real, all humans have the capacity to archive greatness if only given the resources to not only survive but thrive.

If everyone had acces to free and quality education, healthcare and food we could have more than a thousand Einsteins and Mozarts right now.

Once everyone is able to archive greatness, it becomes the norm, therefore the rich no longer able to justify their wealth by claiming to be geniuses. Helping the poor thrive and become not poor is a direct threat to their ego and status.

Edit: Wholesome to realise i am the fourth person to comment this. Positivity woke!

Many (still a minority) schools have a room and assigned teacher for this,

Its definitely not just for autism but for any kid that needs a little extra help without the distraction of their usual class.

It even sounds like you did not go for autism either, but it is related.

Last year i learned about Dcd

Its a neurological disorder that makes it harder to learn certain motor and coordination skills like writing, riding a bike, using scissors (being a lefty really doesn’t help either).

Dcd is considered a separate disorder, but 80% of the people who are diagnosed autism also fit the criteria for dcd (some claim up to 90%)

    (Edit: added a source )

The good thing is that with proper guidance kids can learn to perform these skills just as good as everyone else. So these special classes in the first years of elementary school are really important. I am glad you had them, I hadn’t and my handwriting shows it.

I knew half my family was autistic for years, but know i recognise many suffered dcd also.

This reminds me some deep thinking i did on the topic of consent and morality.

And concluded that actually, bear with me with this heck of a statement

    “Facism is not evil”

Of course facism as humans have made it and historically expressed it is very much super evil with no doubt. Absolutely no doubt, i identify as antifa for a reason.

But this is part of the larger philosophy that ”there is no objective good or evil in the universe”

So what makes things subjective good or evil.

Is it evil to organise a games of change fixed to have the house win majority of times? Not if the players are informed and consent to play (Consent also means the person is capable of controlling/understanding their actions, exploiting addiction is harm)

Is it evil to have sex with someone? Not if there is consent and clear boundaries.

Is it evil to humiliate and hurt someone? Not if there is consent and clear boundaries.

How big of a step is it to go from bdsm master slave play to a fascist powerplay.

I can even imagine a ethical functional economic organisation who runs on a fetishised version of Mussolini’s facism. But it cannot exist in the world we live now.

If all the workers consent and want to work in these conditions, same with the partners. And they leave everyone else alone. There is effectively no harm and no evil. Such does require a world where there is total freedom of work meaning you are not incentivised in any way to work with organisations you are uncomfortable with.

Disclaimer, i am not into any of these things. But i accept that people can have weird kinks. Everything is ok as long as it causes no harm.

  • I don’t think i am.

I am not speaking on the character of these people though, i don’t know them. I am only speaking on the logic of the known facts.

Which is that no one promoted blatantly bad art at any point of time.

The priest gave permission before the restoration was started, there is no way to know in advance how a finished work will look.

Then they also didn’t promote it, it went viral by visitors before it was finished. And the town allegedly hated it and the women was not allowed to continue working on it. (Which she is still sad about)

Going viral caused mass tourism which was an additional burden on the town.

The decision to ask money to see it was a reaction to the spontaneous tourism and to try balance the overload it caused on a small town.

That decision ended up doing more good then anticipated and only now the town views the painting as a positive.

Then on being: “one of six men to have been arrested by the Civil Guard as part of a fraud investigation.”

“Alleged sexual assault” is part of the investigation, but there is no mention of a victim or who of the 6 was involved with what crime.

At this point It might be as simple as he knew something from a confession and didn’t tell the police.

Your sentence about bad taste/poor judgement is therefore not relevant. We dont know their taste nor judgement.

Trump is a good example though but i can’t help but think there are people with good taste that have poor judgement and bad taste that have good judgement all over the world. Taste being very subjective also.

  • I think the effect is caused because if you look you see the context and in your head segment what is going on into different parts for your brains to analyze.

The gif is quite fast so i actually think its more that paying attention makes you take in mode detail. Make it make overal seem slowerx

When you look away you lose detail to know what part is on screen. You just see it flash/cycle between them.

The harder you start analysing it, like the autist that i am, the more the brain seems to catch up and is able to measure a more subjective time.
