Raw sunshine and moonlight should also work for this use case, albeit with some manual config work potentially.

You can always self host forgejo, but yeah, codeberg is an opinionated place, I suspect primarily due to resource constraints. Not a github replacement and not really trying to be.

A possible downside to this is that only legit companies will adhere to it, whereas scammers won’t include the assertion, giving people a false sense of security.
I’d say the benefits probably exceed the downsides, though. It also may mean that people start leaving companies that rely on AI for their support because of the increased transparency.
I had a quick look and the AI features that are added:
- LLM driven tagging suggestions
- Remote OCR (Azure AI)
They do look to be optional at least. I’d probably be a bit more concerned if the code was largely written with LLMs, given the large number of commits in what looks to be only a few months.

People were just too dumb to understand what was so good about it.
I wouldn’t have trusted Microsoft to follow through on this in the long term. I have little doubt they would have removed that concession as soon as they thought they could get away with it.
This website is like 10 years old from memory, well before grid-scale batteries were widespread (well they still aren’t in many countries).
