Can confirm, too. I am not German, just learning it due to my living situation, but this language feels like getting beaten in a dark alley. I though my language is complex on all this grammatical, syntax and so crap, but nope.

I think, that in my case it is trauma that made itself appear later in life. Because it was never an issue when I was younger. Even dentist tried to say the same to me.

Gag reflexes are bitch. Not sure if beating them is even possible anymore.
