I should have been more clear. I know they are being manipulated. I don’t blame them for everything.
I’m trying to acknowledge a justified and legitimate frustration, not discourage everyone from focusing on the real source of the problem.
While I agree that those hoarding wealth and power are the primary target, a lot of boomers keep voting for fucking fascists and refuse to acknowledge the leopards eating their faces.
As I’ve said numerous times and will continue to say… The Republican Party is beyond hypocrisy. It’s beyond double standards. The is no objective reality. There is only what definitions, interpretations, or perspectives serve them. Whether or not they are currently emphasizing long-term, short-term, or something in between or what audience they are aiming their disinformation at might influence what they say but the truth itself is irrelevant. There is no good-faith, only an attempt to influence how they are seen so that they can abuse that misconception later. They are wholely disingenuous.
Unfortunately, some corporate and Zionist Democrats are also picking up the strategy and we’ve started living in a country where trust and the rule of law is just another avenue by which to exploit others. Admittedly, it’s been like that for most of the nations history but there was at least a pretense that people could believe in, albeit naively.
Things need to change, fast, before the entire population descends into might (and power, money) makes right at all levels of society.
I think climate change is a more relevant term. Yes, as a whole, the earth is warming up. However, this is not the only effect and it is not felt everywhere equally. Some places may actually not get warmer or even get cooler (for now). Changing air and water currents can change things in many different ways. Either way, weather patterns and climates are being changed.
What sucks is that some people act in bad faith. “Well this winter in this one city was technically cooler this year so Global Warming is a hoax!”

Pretty simple. Our relationship started when we were in our early 20’s. Over the course of the ~10 years we were together we became different people. By the time we were in our 30’s, what she wanted in a partner changed and I was no longer what she wanted. Figuring it all out hurt and sucked… but I’m in a good place these days and consider it an important learning experience in my past.
