I used to wear the same shirt every Monday as a social experiment. I wanted to see how long it would take someone to say something. After about a year I ended up telling my boss about it and he said “Oh yeah, we all noticed, we just figured you were so broke you couldn’t afford clothes” 💀

It does, but the bowline is easier to untie after an extreme load. But then the bowline is not safe on it’s own, it needs to be backed up with another knot. An overhand on a bite also serves the same function but I think that’s even harder to untie after loading especially with skinny material. Not sure about that though, I’ve just heard of people not being able to untie them in their anchors for rock climbing.
Also figure 8 requires the most rope, still my favorite knot though

1883 was the year Joseph Mortimer Granville the “father of the modern elctromechanical vibrator” wrote a book about it.
These early vibrators became popular among the medical profession and were used for treating a wide variety of ailments in women and men, including hysteria, arthritis, constipation, amenorrhea, inflammations, and tumors; some wounded World War I soldiers received vibrotherapy as treatment at English and French hospitals in Serbia.
I just added a plant to my enclosure, and it’s quite nice
