After watching a video about this last week I would pick man first arriving in Australia. the animals that existed there way back then make the stuff that’s in Australia today look tame. I just want to see the faces on these early humans when they realize how fucked they are. Giant Komodo Dragons, Giant Koalas, Giant Snakes, a damn Crocodile that could run on land. It’s amazing any of them survived.

And this is just going to fuel on the fire that is DHH’s crusade. He’s already called the linux community “a bunch of clowns” so this is just going to generate more money for his dotfiles and more than likely grow the userbase.
Granted the Omarchy userbase are a bunch of morons. Also doesn’t help that youtube linux content creators are all pretty much praising the damn thing and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know why. Makes it easy to know which creators to unsub from but it literally leaves it with 4 left one of which doesn’t post anymore.

there was also the “put the iphone in the microwave so it charges faster” and that worked a couple times.

a MINIATURE donkey no less. Friggin blood hounds that were with them were probably bigger and more aggressive than this thing. and after looking at the neckbeard back yard yolkel photo of the cop yeah it doesn’t surprised me why he’d be so scared. hope the dude never comes across a squirrel with an acorn, he’ll likely get PTSD.

Omarchy users in shambles right now. oh who am I kidding, they can’t read.

honestly once you learn how to install Gentoo and/or NetBSD every other install is an absolute cake walk.
Really though like you said it’s valuable knowledge to learn.

could it look close? eh maybe. the visual customization of it is still kinda limited. like if you’re looking to have the same customization levels of say Plasmashell you’re out of luck. If you’re ok with the “pill” look then it’s fine but beyond that you couldn’t make it look like say DWM’s bar or what have you. But I suppose if you wanted it to look like cosmic or maybe gnome it’d be more doable since they all kinda share the same principal of “pills are a great look”
As far as if it’ll play nice with GNOME? no clue. I’ve used it with Kwin in the past as a replacement for Plasmashell and it worked fairly well.

you don’t use Noctalia alongside plasmashell, it just works alongside Kwin so I’m assuming that’s what OP meant. Noctalia just replaces your plasmashell.

neat. wait a week and they’ll pop up again.
every now and then I like going through and reading Linus’ commit messages for uemacs. It’s impressive that he’s still maintaining that thing on a near weekly basis.
Also he writes some of the longest commit messages known to man to the point where i’m like “I didn’t know you could write them that long”
yeah I’m honestly leaning towards it simply being a bad shutdown.
For backups I would highly suggest you look into Borg backups. There are free services that work with Borg as long as your backups are under 10GB. I’ve used borgbase.com in the past and that always worked well. With Borg you can automatically schedule your backups to not only upload them online but also to remind you to plug in like an external usb drive and backup. all backups are encrypted so really secure, fantastic tool I highly recommend.

this is how I know he’s not the next pick for them. By now they would have forced him to end the marriage to Usha and shacked him up with Erika. they haven’t pulled that trigger yet, so he’s not next in line.
you sure Fedora didn’t get corrupt? I’ve had that happen with Fedora on a bad shutdown and was no longer able to boot from the SSD boot partition.
When you run the SSD from a liveUSB can you write to it just fine? assuming you’ve backed up your data why not just try either installing another distro like Debian to test it or reinstall Fedora.

I didn’t watch much of Enterprise but weren’t the Borg in that also?
Also both Cochrane and his assistant Lily knew of the Borg prior the first warp flight.
so at the very least in 3 different occasions the Federation/Starfleet would have known that the Borg existed but just decided to keep those cards close to their chests?

I also enjoyed the Warcraft movie. it was a perfect introduction to the franchise. I remember at the time of release people were miffed because it wasn’t WORLD of Warcraft. But still the locales and characters still looked fairly spot on if you only played WoW and not the previous games.
As for Halo. man that show was such a bait and switch. The opening to the first episode with the Spartans and the Master Chief was great annnnnnnd that’s about it.

It’s good and an easy watch, only 5 seasons. SURE you can watch all the movies too and maybe the spin off series but in all honestly you can probably skip the spin off.
The first season can be a struggle to get through for many people but you kinda have to watch it as everything ties together. and there’s a major plot point you won’t understand or appreciate in the last couple seasons unless you watch season 1. But once the Shadow War kicks off man that show hits its stride, starts running, and just doesn’t stop until the very last episode.
The space combat is probably the absolute best. The best part in that series is seeing jump gates open at JUST the right time and wondering whose coming out of them.
I will say as someone who does volunteer work for homeless individuals PLEASE do your research if you decide to donate to a shelter. Many are corporate run and the money usually stays at the top amongst the board. There is something called “the Homeless Industry” and a lot of shelters that are run by companies are in it for a profit via government grants/funds not to help the individuals that utilize the shelters. Many places get funds based on how many beds/cots/mats on the ground/chairs they can keep occupied on a given night so for these places its in their best interest to ensure their tenants stay in the shelter system, not get out of it.
