Sports in general seem to be controlled by right-wing people. Teams owned by right leaning folks, league directors who are conservatives, international conglomerates lead by people who are corrupt fascists. I don’t know the answer to this, but for some reason competitive athletics have been taken over by terrible people. These things will make it very difficult to find resolution for this, which is frustrating since I feel like women’s sports are really growing and this “distraction” isn’t a thing. Or shouldn’t be, I think.

While this could be good, I think about this much older article that talks about somewhat similar things, specifically

turkey offal, tires, plastic bottles, harbor-dredged muck, old computers, municipal garbage, cornstalks, paper-pulp effluent, infectious medical waste, oil-refinery residues, even biological weapons such as anthrax spores

but they ended up only doing (what I remember being) the turkey offal. The article mentioned here says

plastic compounds and agricultural byproducts like discarded plant stalks into proteins, fats, acids, and flavorings

and while it has been 20+ years, my concern is that it will end up doing much less than promised. But I can hope for more.

But, I can see that (I think) you are saying that many people in South Korea invested in AI, and that is problematic. I do know that, as you said, LLMs are resource intensive and do not really work financially. If many people there invested in AI companies, I could see them also subscribing to them. I think.

My avoidance of AI has lead to me not knowing enough about it. I don’t know what you mean by token… This is a common theme for me today! I won’t be able to avoid this if I don’t educate myself.

I need more info, I may be misinformed and likely don’t know all the things. I just remember hearing a lot of hullabaloo about it then. It seemed like it was supposed to be good for all three countries, and an agreement of sorts. I don’t understand how this stuff now can be a thing beyond Trump being seemingly unchecked.

This also speaks a lot to the state of humanity. I may well be immature or uncreative, but if presented with an AI ordering interface, I would never think about this! I do deal with the public a great deal through the course of my job, and am frequently disappointed at the level of (my) perceived narcissism. Folks are butts.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. 25% seems like a pretty high uptake, I don’t understand the attraction but that’s a lot of people. Will that higher number mean that they will end up not seeing any worth in paying for it sooner than folks in USA?
