I never tire of this gif, I could honestly watch it for hours. 🤩
@ Cards Against Humanity, great new card idea here for you! ⬆️
I never thought the ai leopard would eat my face…
And that was even before the stroke!
Actually I’ve been considering a shift into mushroom farming.
I wish this weren’t so accurate. But I was laid off 6 months ago and I’m still looking despite having 6 years in SW-dev. That’s not the case for everybody, of course, but it’s a rough outlook for a lot of us in tech.
Only real advice I’ve got for OP: surround yourself with a good support network.
Really? https://github.com/ErsatzTV/next looks pretty active to me…?
Well…
You never call, you never write! … You’re the nastiest dirtbag I know in this stinking city! … If you don’t wanna talk to your mother, just avoid me like usual, huh?
Flock camera together. 😅
I’d make a few loose fishing line webs / a bunch of fishing line streamers. Line should be too fine for the drones camera to detect, but its propellers will hit the line and instantly gum it up. Just make sure your traps are only on your property. Bonus points ir the web, having caught a drone, can be reeled in from afar.
That they somehow convinced you it was a matter of resources to not protect citizens from peeping-toms is unfortunate. They have more resources than you could possibly imagine. They just don’t care, because they don’t have to, and their job is only to protect people in power.
Frogs in pots… And the reddit communities that people liked were still active once the protest was bashes down. Reddit nixed and replaced every mod that continued protesting in their subs.
Well then I’m one of the special few. 🤓
Beyond that, there were a bunch of people watching and posting upticking Lemmy usage stats. I recall it being tens of thousands (mainly joining Lemmy.world), but those who stuck around was much smaller. Unfortunately when I joined, the messaging around Lemmy & federation was poor and there were a lot of ghost-town communities.
What did you jump into instead? Any advice on transitioning out of sdev?
I don’t think this is new. 😑
