And you’re being pedantic. Any computer made in the last 15 years can run a browser. If your laptop can’t run a browser, you probably can’t even run Steam. Why are we even talking about this?

But a good native Godot export is certainly faster then a good web export of the same game made nativley with web technology.

Also, Godot exported to the web would definitely run worse than a game made directly for the browser.

So what? Why are you acting like it’s a great scam or grand conspiracy? It is the web game - now on Steam. It wasn’t advertised as anything more than just a version of the web game you can play for a few dollars. Are you upset it’s bundling Electron instead of the game being re-written in Assembly for maximum optimization? It’s a very simple game that runs on everything. But thanks for the cynical breakdown of the technology used, I guess.

Why is this a problem?

It’s hard to convey why you lost because it’s often the result of a lot of mistakes that accumulate over time, such as the lack of building any income.

That said a lot of tower defenses have a sorta clear reason why you lost, such as a boss or a type of enemy you didn’t deal with properly. In BTD6, if you lost from a big zeppelin then you don’t have much single target damage. If you lost from camo bloons, then you lack camo detection, etc. It’s usually fairly obvious why you lost, and if you have multiple lanes then maybe you didn’t care for a specific one.

RIP Heart Machine. They were a good studio but hasn’t produced a hit after hyper light drifter which was 10 years ago now.

Thoughts on the pen’s quality? It looks a bit thick and flimsy from the pictures but I’m interested in hearing from someone who tried it. Also, is the thick tip accurate enough for DS games?

The RG35XXH is pretty good, but I’d recommend against a Miyoo Flip. Even the new versions have had so many reports that the hinge breaks over time, there are better clamshells out there like the RG SP.

They’re great, and there are so many retro handhelds out there - all sorts of shapes and sizes and price ranges. You need to do some research to see what you’re interested in, but I’d recommend a cheap one to start (60-100 dollars). I’m using the Anbernic RG34XXSP and am very happy with it.

As for the ROM collections, it really depends on the manufacturer. Some are really good collections, and some are just trash with tons of duplicates or games in many different languages. One thing for sure is that there will be missing ROMs because they don’t want lawsuits. I’ve heard most of them don’t come with popular Nintendo or Pokemon titles, so you’ll need to get them yourself.

Worst case scenario though is that you can just curate your own collection, or download a ready-made collection online and copy it over.

It’s not that weird of a concept I think, RuneScape has been doing it for ages. There’s Runescape 3, and Old School Runescape which is getting new updates and content to match the old style. I’m not surprised WoW is going for that considering how much nostalgia people have for the old game.

They did a big 2.0 update that fixed most of the issues, including letting you play with proper classic graphics. There might still be some changes WC3 fans don’t like but I think it’s a solid remake now.

New Warcraft 3 expansion with a big new update was so unexpected, but has me very excited to redownload it.

I understood that people replace the Switch 1 joycons because they drift a lot and were kind of toy-like, but I don’t see the value in Switch 2 replacements. I tried the Switch 2 joycons and they’re pretty solid and comfortable.

Whenever someone tries to remake a Nintendo game in a realistic art style people would sarcastically say “Nintendo, hire this man!!!”

Looking closer I think all the child characters look really uncanny. They’re all so stubby with huge eyes and it’s just weird. Adult link and Ganon look great though.

Jokes aside, looks pretty good. The faces are throwing me off a lot though. They’re so… weird. I was expecting something closer to breath of the wild than the semi-realistic style. I hope they adjust kid link, at least.

Seriously there has been maybe 3-4 posts about GTA 6 on this community in the last 2 months and every single one of them is full of people whining that they don’t want to hear about it. It’s so overblown.

GTA 6 is one of - if not the - highest budget games ever made. In one of the most popular and successful franchises of all time. It’s the biggest release of the last few years whether they like it or not. Now… You’re telling me we should stop talking about it in gaming communities because Lemmy users want to get back to talking about Linux and whatever 6/10 open source game is doing the rounds?

Sorry for the harshness but these posts and comments are so annoying. If you don’t want to talk about AAA games then why are you in the gaming community?

P.S. I’ve seen posts talking about GTA or any major company (PlayStation, Nintendo, Bethesda, etc) just get huge amounts of downvotes on this platform because “we’re tired of hearing about it”. Why do people do this??? Just move on to the next post.
