  • I don’t know. If Trump has taught us anything, it’s that a significant percentage of people struggle with empathy. And despite us being the war hawk, military police of the world, I would guess there are fewer people who understand what it’s like to be deployed that long than folks who are used to landlords slapping a coat of paint on something and pretending they totally rebuilt it, brand new.

Both are enormously disrespectful. Trump doesn’t give two shits about the people, the money, or the equipment he burns on this giant Epstein file distraction.

  • I live in Tennessee, so my opinion of Dolly is definitely biased. She was and is a treasure. I think she understood something most people in positions of power and prestige do not: what you say matters little, what you do matters lots.

Could she have showed up on political stages? Sure. Could she wear a #I’mWithHer shirt? Yeah. Is she the kind of person who’s going to play moral trolley problem lesser of two evil games? Absolutely not.

Dolly came from a place where nobody gave a damn about her or anyone else, and they still don’t. So she decided she would. She decided to cut through it all to let kids know that someone cares about them and that kindness always wins.

It’s not real science, because the fire is not as harmful as the pollution or gasses, but you have to remember that most conservatives are so self involved they forget about other people and the scale of the problem

How many teenie tiny fires would it take to make the world a bit warmer?

A million? A billion? Maybe a trillion little fires.

There are 1.699B cars on the road. By conservative estimates, average time of the road per day is ~30 minutes. If we pretend that they’re all 4 cylinder engines, and average 1500RPM, both low estimates, that engine fires 3000 times per minute. For 30 minutes a day. For 1.669B cars.

Over the course of a year that’s 55,810,000,000,000 fires. 55.81 quadrillion. In one year.

And that’s just cars. Not planes. Not trains. Not boats. Not power plants. Not even cow farts.

They know that there is some number that’s too much. They know we’ve passed it.

  • They would say none, because Einstein made it out of the patent office and if you’re still stuck in the patent office, you aren’t Einstein. Brilliance must always rise to the top. Bezos is at the top, so in his mind he’s brilliant. In his mind, there’s no world where he isn’t who he is today.

Remember there’s no empathy or understanding.
