Hmm… I know a certain grocery store chain that got acquired by a bigger store a few years back, that’s located in the Midwest, and has been having a significant issue with leaving expired items on the shelves…
But no I don’t think its normal. Its very likely margins getting thinner because everything and management or the owners trying to keep the numbers looking good.
I think the idea is neat but I can’t really see how this would work in practice. Bioluminescence isn’t exactly bright (not enough to replace street lamps), and wouldn’t the plant be burning a lot of energy to keep it going?
