    So, the effects are rare. But China turned away beef that tested positive. Then the US government announced a mystery-origin meat to help lower prices. Maybe it was a false positive and a coincidence on the trade deal timing.

    But I remember when mad cow disease was a concern. It was rare too. But also not a good way to die.

    I feel like we are living the hypothetical, “if a bowl of skittles has up to 1% of them poisoned, do you eat them because your odds are decent?”

    If I was only going to vomit a couple times, maybe if I’m hungry enough. If I’ll die an agonizing death from a poisoned skittle, then no, I’ll ty to find something else.
