That could be easy to stop too. Just make sure that it’s not legal to be compelled to own a house for a corporation or any human you can’t demonstrate a close relationship with (relative, friend, partner), and any benefits you get (financial or other) for acting as a proxy owner can be demanded back and reappropriated by the gov later.

Enforcement doesn’t need to be perfect, just enough that people aren’t interested in taking the risk at a notable scale.

It really is a scourge (my personal opinion).

The same seems to be the case for KDE. It seems like GNOME also somewhat is (since they didn’t ban AI for GTK+ or mutter or gnome shell, as far as I’m aware). It’s quite frustrating to see.

It could also simply be seen as a bad look no matter any risks, potentially the taking of code snippets from other projects that may have a significant code length, without attributing them properly. I find it sad.
