I paid to eat bugs from a food cart in Thailand, though they were cooked and seasoned.

I like it, however I’ve taken the opposite strategy and simply drink to cope with their existence in the present.

Have been running Linux since either 95 or 96. Literally still on IRC. Looks exactly the same today except the font in my xterm is bigger.
Iran has been fucked over by the US/UK since the 50s. They are what they are now because of the US. They’re absolutely the victims of oppression. The argument about people not wanting to be perceived as pro-iran is real, but doesn’t fully explain it because zionists and US media have painted Palestinians and “hamas” with that same brush and fear of being perceived as being pro “terrorist” has also played a role there for decades.
In both cases, they’re simply defending themselves. They’re not doing anything the US wouldn’t do if it was being attacked and invaded. One man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter.
As far as why Americans suddenly care about ethnic cleansing and genocide in Palestine and are willing to be identified as supporting that struggle, despite it having been ongoing even longer than US meddling in Iran, is mostly due to decades of independent media strategies employed to force Americans to look at it. Famous mainstream people are finally behind it. It’s hip now.
Also Gaza is tiny so the concentration of crimes against humanity is denser. Iran being able to defend itself presents a real cost to attacking them, leading to this mostly being a stand-off, and 150 school girls getting blown up is a far cry from 20000 children in Gaza.

Hopefully he’ll be the one wearing a blindfold.
This is pure truth masquerading as a shitpost.

It’s a violation of house ethics rules. Hypocrisy aside, its just simply against the rules of a body who’s purpose is to make the laws that govern the rest of us. No tolerance or excuses for that.

A long time ago, maybe just after he was elected gov after being SF mayor, Bill Maher suggested to Gavin that he should run for president some day. Gavin said strenuously that he never would. He said “who wants that, that’s the worst job in the world” (I’m paraphrasing slightly from 15 years ago when I still watched that piece of shit.)
I can’t find the clip anywhere, it’s been completely scrubbed from the internet, but I remember it clearly as I had lived in SF while he was Mayor. Kamala was DA then and was a nasty one. Both of them need to STFU.
Solipsism is real amongst the fediverse shit posters
It’s not wine, it doesn’t go off quickly. There’s this concept of the “infinity bottle” where you make your own ever-evolving blend of leftovers. It’s usually associated with whiskey but can work well for rums.
