Someone I work with who always hand writes his code used copilot to write his commit message as usual this morning.

Lo and behold it had snuck an “authored by copilot” tag onto the end of the message and github picked up on it and labeled the commit accordingly - when he saw “and copilot” next to his name on github he flipped his lid and ranted about how copilot only exists on the back of stolen code from humans and it has no right to claim any credit whatsoever to anything original like being an author ever.

He edited out the attribution and force pushed it before anyone else could commit on top of it.

(Apparently copilot writes commit messages in such a way that no matter how trivial the edit, it sounds like he’d been planning and working for hours and hours on it.)

They’ll retcon it to consecutive terms for fuckwit trump and deny President Obama. Constitution shmonstitution, they’re doing whatever the heck they like in the supreme court.

Supreme court will simply rule that the constitution means the limit is two consecutive terms and pretend that it isn’t because they’re tearing it to shreds all day every day.

You’re probably not a fascist, though. It lands differently if you’re not using an immigrant community as the scapegoats and locking them up without due process, breaking your country’s constitution and bringing in to being your own private army who wear masks. So, you do you. Trump, however, the world would have been better off without him.

Everyone gets together for an event that’s seen as important, comforting things are said, then everyone goes and eats together and tells each other stories about the person they lost. Seems like a great way to go about it to me.
