When I met my wife I also was always around her and cancelled on friends. Nothing abusive was going on. If that is all you had for proof, I think you know why you feel guilty: you set up someone to be taken in by the pigs. It would be psychopathic if you didn’t feel guilty.
Go and talk to that Evan that you claim to want to be a friend of (playing halo without talking is not friendship), and go find out if you need to speak to the cops to make this right.

What does this have to do with being catholic? You did something drastic and now doubt what you did. Anyone would have doubts after doing such a thing.
How did you figure out Derek was being abused? You only talked about him not meeting up with you anymore. I don’t think I fully understand what happened when you went boxing.
