- Artwork@lemmy.worldtoAsk Lemmy@lemmy.world•What movie would you suggest on either side of the below question?English8·14 days ago
I am not really sure what is “white” and “black” movies, but I was born in Vilnius, Lithuania myself, with “white” skin color if that makes sense.
In this case, I had around 30 titles in the mind for the “white”, but for some reason, the first 5 that I recalled and imagined was:
- Run Lola Run (1998);
- Suicide Room (2011);
- The Place Beyond the Pines (2012);
- The Book Thief (2013);
- Head Full of Honey" (2018);
Roger that. Thank you for the clarification that you meant the actual term, and not just the fact of no mandatory payment and it having an the source available for public.
I get what you mean, yet frankly, I do not believe such projects may be always free that are supposed to always be up-to-date for another system they have no official relation to, and keep it as a responsible hobby other people depend on.

This is likely a low-temp dishwater that relies more on “chemical sanitization”, which are also frequent at restaurants.
Operating temperatures in these are around 55 C.
And lovely rats might not have added any serious chemicals there, too!Low-Temperature Dishwashers
-
Energy-Efficient Emissary: If you’re aiming to keep your carbon footprint in check, a low-temperature dishwasher might be your kitchen’s green guardian. These dishwashers use cooler water, around 120-140°F (49-60°C), reducing energy consumption and minimizing the overall environmental impact.
-
Gentle on Glass: Delicate glassware and ornate dishes breathe a sigh of relief in the presence of a low-temperature dishwasher. The milder temperatures are kinder to these items, ensuring they emerge from the cleaning process unscathed…
For those chasing the pinnacle of cleanliness and rapid turnover, the high-temperature dishwasher takes the crown. Meanwhile, if you’re weaving sustainability and preservation of delicate kitchenware into your narrative, the low-temperature dishwasher might be your steadfast companion.
-–
Most often, chemical sanitization is fitting in facilities that use a low-to-medium volume of dishes. For example, suppose that you manage a local cafe that seats about 40. In this setting, you probably don’t see mountains of greasy dishes, so you would be fine with a low-temperature dishwasher to handle the issue.
Low-temperature dishwashers also tend to lease at a lower price than high-temperature machines, so when you don’t need the heavy grease load and soil load capabilities of a high-temperature machine, chemical sanitization is a better all-around option.

It is free and open-source on Desktop at this moment.
Keyguard is a commercial app and unlocking a premium funds its further development and supports me (Artem Chepurnyi) directly. As of right now, only the Android builds distributed via Google Play store have main features locked behind a paywall, other distribution channels have a build with everything unlocked.
But it makes sense to pay for it, since Bitwarden is a constantly changing system and these projects based on it must always be up-to-date with their API changes, too. This is time and worry consuming, and should be compensated.

Thank you very much for the awesome project mentioned! I had no idea about it!
The marvel works great with Vaultwarden, too, it seems!Though, Bitwarden system/clients are not so featureful as KeePassXC, for example, it’s a great alternative for a more adequate synchronization.

Air can simplify the agent part, but not the four-machine SSH part. At least not yet. Inside IntelliJ, Air can give you a single place to run Gemini CLI, Codex, Claude Agent, and Junie, including running agents in parallel (you can also add other ACP-compatible agents).
So your workflow could be:
-
In the Air prompt window, use Claude for a complex refactoring
-
In the same window, use Codex for a separate implementation task
-
In the same window, use Gemini for another task or review
… -
Become more dependent on the AI, atrophy gradually
-
Think less, pay more

Pay more, think less

The “generating” from already existing has a particle of a relatively explainable sense in it, unfortunately… to “de-copyright” it…
Simply put, AI has made it easier than ever to launder image copyright infringement… That, in turn, is where AI is changing the game. Previously, content laundering was about fooling computers. Now, it may be able to fool humans.
-–
These two challenges converge on a single point: the need for transparency about what data was used to train a model. Without such transparency…
-–
The foundational principle is deceptively simple: copyright requires a human author… Writing a detailed prompt is not enough.
The machines are producing at extraordinary speed. The law is moving slowly, but it is moving. The businesses that fare best will be those that understood the difference in time.
Even though the models are based on “fair use” of now unknown artists and people, now scrambled and reconstructed… which is all utterly awfully disrespectfully disgusting… indeed…
Also known as “AI-laundering”…
- Create or fund a non-profit entity to create the datasets for you. The non-profit, research-oriented nature of these entities allows them to use copyrighted material more easily.
- Then use this dataset to create commercial products, without offering any compensation for the use of copyrighted material.

Indeed… such an awful sorrow…
Such decisions for “AI” is a pure disgrace and a blatant disrespect to the history, experience, dedication, effort… love… of the contributors, developers, artists… people… of the whole project, and the infinitely marvelous history itself…
I will never consider this project for anything, and won’t recommend it to anyone.
There are more appreciated projects also mentioned in the comments, including:

- Arcane by @Zeoic@lemmy.world ;
- Konodo by @FlexibleToast@lemmy.world ;
- Dockge by @girlnamedzero@piefed.zeromedia.vip ;

Thank you for the reference!
At some military task, I recall someone shared a thought from a TV show they watched, the one I do still remember. I am not very experienced in Russian language, though I’ve been into it for at least a decade, mostly for art, and the job assignments around the globe.That is, the TV show was/is called “Что? Где? Когда?”, which if I am not mistaken, may be translated to “What? Where? When?”.
Generally, the show is about teams who compete in answering various challenging questions sharing experience, erudition, and dedication in subjects.Back then, I invested quite of time to actually find the excerpt… and I still have the page in bookmarks! It is still online! It was long ago indeed…
The excerpt the colleague mentioned was the following found (translated from Russian, and its verbatim below):
# Question
We fuss about. As we start fussing in the morning, so we fuss until the evening, and tomorrow as well, and thus a whole life passes in great fuss. One philosopher realized this circumstance, and he also realized that it is not within human power to diminish this great fuss. Having realized this circumstance too, he fell into thought. And while thinking, this philosopher drew a line and called this line the Great Fuss. As we know, it is not within human power to reduce fuss, to diminish it. And yet, how, without diminishing the Great Fuss, can one reduce it? Or, how, without reducing it, can one diminish it?
# Answer…
This great philosopher understood. And having understood, he drew next to this line another fuss, greater in scale… And then, in the eyes of a person, the former fuss turned out to be small. The moral is that only human activity greater in scale, dedicated to greater ideas and tasks, can diminish our fuss. And nothing more! Your point, thank you.
Verbatim/Original
The thing is I haven’t found the name of the actual philosopher still…
Do you have any idea who he is?

May I ask, have ever actually developed anything in these “20 years”, you smiley person?
It’s so fun right? Well, until your work gets defaced, fed into a yet another random LLM, and damaged to random particles not a single person will ever know or care about, and now sold being an LLM’s output, not yours idea nor human precious life time and love you invested into it to keep it all organized, careful, and with heartfelt gratitude to the miraculous, ineffably magnificent video-game, Universe (e.g., The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout, World of Warcraft), dear Art… you discovered someone else brought to the light… and wanted to participate in hopefully improving it, or just… loving it…
Have you actually ever participated in a video-game mod/development oriented Communities out there?
I have. I have been since at least 2016. I am still, at this very moment.
Your effortless unsupervised artless awful dead sorrowful “AI” fudging sucks, and your stance on it, and of people like you - sucks, too.I’ve been professionally into security, military, and both embedded and desktop software and web development for more than 20 years, too, now, so I have an idea who you may be.
Yet… You? You are not a developer, I believe. It shows. You’ve been in it for 20 years for nothing, and learned nothing. I am sorry about your current views on art, people, a human attitude for discoveries and adventures, the dear infinitely marvelous Human History we all develop… as best as we all can… There’s no “AI” that damages the history and ruins human love. Fudge your “AI”.
