You can also just edit local DNS records on the devices you intend to access the service from. Flakier, but requires no extra hardware/services

I wonder what this figure is like not including the whales throwing around six figure paychecks. hard to spend 10k on a single book or movie ticket or song, ya know…

Kudos! Glad you took that extra (necessary) step adding the ground. The old cord was probably disintegrating and crumbly anyhow

disk repair shops aint cheap. you go there when you lose data and NEED it back, not to top up on Helium like party balloon. Also balls expensive. You’d need a clean room just to open the thing. AFAIK there are no service ports to just chooch in more helium.

I’d be more worried about loose windings contacting the metal housing and making it live without a safety ground to trip the breaker. And yeah, high efficiency appliances are considerable investments considering their lifespan and constant energy draw. Annual energy costs add up quick.
Hear me out. Some pods or refills hold their own charge for a few discrete puffs using a super capacitor. Like a battery, but no lithium and very little capacity. Those designs are nice. The lithium filled rechargeable main battery is a one time purchase. I fear intelligent designs like that would be effected by this legislation
