If that’s the case, I guess I’ve been high status for years with my metal kettle and a ceramic pour over set up.

As the article points out, CoreCivic is making money because of the regime’s anti-immigrant policies and they donated $500,000 to Trump.

I know they were shelved at the same time but I’m not sure where Batgirl was in terms of production. I believe Coyote vs Acme had finished and was in post, hence some of the outrage but I don’t know about Batgirl.

The song is called Freewill with no space. I didn’t check the lyrics to see how it was spelled there.

Good point, I missed that in the title. The fleet side of things still stands as far as I know. Though, the linked article linked doesn’t really mention any statistics on car sales.
My brief internet search shows it as the Ford F- Series, as of July of this year. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/g71006285/bestselling-cars-2026/

Everyone asking why and making jokes about masculinity are missing this point entirely. Ford is the most popular truck when it comes to fleets and actual work trucks, the kind you see with a flat bed or tons of built in metal tool boxes.

It’d be easy to chalk this up to mental illness but in my opinion, I see something more sinister.
It’s jargon which is typically made up by cult leaders to create an in group and out group. When a cult leader renames something, it’s essentially a loyalty test to see who will use it and who won’t.
Going to “work”. I was recently laid off because my company is shutting down. I enjoyed the work we did, it was rewarding and provided a quality service. After being out of work for almost a month, I never want to have a “job” again.
I was able to have an extended visit with my parents who live in another state and aren’t getting any younger , I’ve been able to travel to be with my partner while her mom is dealing with health issues in another state, I dog sat for a friend and got to hang out in her back yard while reading and watching the pups play in the sun all day, I’ve been dabbling in things like drawing and taking improv classes.
I have been regularly employed since before I was 18 and never had more than one week off here or there, except for a few weeks when I moved ten years ago.
I am currently searching for a new job because I live in the US and for some reason we decided tie healthcare to employment but I dread what I end up getting myself into because I was just beginning to find myself again.
- Taco2112@lemmy.worldtoNo Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do dogs actually like having their belly rubbed or do they just know we really like to rub their bellies?23·30 days ago
This is anecdotal to just my dog but she seems to really like it. Once I start petting her, it’s only a matter of time before she rolls into her back. If she’s next to me in bed and I stop petting her belly, she does a little squirm/wiggle until I start again, it’s very cute until I mistakenly start petting her too early I the morning and then I’m not allowed to go back to sleep.
Also, I believe the guy who finished first was disqualified for riding in a car for part of the race. I could be misremembering though.
I think this is the same dog

The former University of California staffer’s virulent activism began several years ago following her own daughter’s transition.
Ah, there’s the rub. Her oldest child is trans and she just couldn’t accept it. The article linked in the quote is very interesting and gives a lot more context.
It truly is what Yoda said: Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.

I always thought of breadcrumbs as something that would lure a target down a path.
