What? No. In europe you could receive calls for free but calling out cost per minute billing so all the teenagers pretty much only had their phone as a means for their parents to call them. if you had to call your parents you’d call let it ring once and hang up, they’d see the missed call and call you back. if you had one kid whose parents loved them enough to give him a subscription with included minutes instead of pre-paid everyone in the group had to use their phone.

Its only the pensioners you see not using their phones all the time.
Is a joke? every oldie i see has their readers on stuck to a tablet or phone, parents, grandparents, aunts uncles and neighbors all in a trance
Sure but lets allow the world population to naturally contract to 500 million or so before we start pushing for replacement numbers

If Jesus didnt exist as the son of god then what does it matter? Santa isnt Saint Nicholas and Jesus Christ isnt whatever historical julio you want to project onto why are we even entertaining this bullshit? There is no historical Jesus because there is no Jesus Christ, it’s not more complicated than that.
How do you justify democracy when people are voting for life to be worse instead of better, even to the point of undermining the democratic process itself? Sure we could argue at some point democracy had the effect of improving living conditions but should we expect that to be true forever in all circumstances?
I dont believe that democracy is valuable as an end unto itself, it is a tool that should serve its people and if it stops doing that we shouldn’t be dogmatic about it. Authoritarian systems certainly arent the way, and I would guess what we need doesnt even have a name yet.
