Hba1c blood test every once in a while, blood sugar tests if I feel weird or curious. My blood was syrup when I first went in, untreated for years except accidentally trying low carb diets
It’s under control but apparently getting it under control too quickly can cause rapid eye degeneration (my eyes were fine when I got diagnosed, and I responded well to treatment).
I. The UK diabetes and other lifelong conditions make you eligible for free meds, which helps a lot.
Sweet diabetes messed up my eyes and my dick. Now the medicine for one makes the laser and injections for the other pointless.
Just leave me hard and blind in a ditch somewhere.
That’s NHS standard every now and then along with the hba1c as far as I can tell.
