There’s a fruit fly playing Half Life Deathmatch
I think that makes perfect sense in an article titled Millennial Gray
BIOS sounds good. It’s got that cold hard logic stamped steel ring to it.
“We’ve got the update the BIOS”. Okay. Everyone understands that.
The BIOS boots before the OS. Got it.
“Make sure to configure your UEFI”
“My what?”
I was here when this copypasta happened, Internet

Abstract:
The meta-analytical results obtained allow us to estimate the prevalence rate of psychopathy in the general adult population at 4.5%. That being said, this rate varies depending on the participants’ sex (higher in males), the type of sample from the general population (higher in samples from organizations than in community samples or university students), and the type of instrument used to define psychopathy. In fact, using the PCL-R, which is currently considered the “gold standard” for the assessment and definition of psychopathy, the prevalence is only 1.2%.
So the scientific estimate is between 1.2% (strictest criteria) and 4.5% (loosest criteria).
4.5+1.2÷2 = 2.85%, which is close enough of an estimate to use in casual conversation (roughly 3%).

Weird; I came pre-installed with this weird thing that tells me if what I’m doing is right or wrong, absent of cultural norms.
The joke here is that it doesn’t exist in everyone, we just presume it does.
The assumption of pre-existing universal empathy turns out to be a fatal flaw for a collective, even when the absent rate of empathy is small (<3% of the population).
My grandmother, bless her soul, grew up on a farm and her solution to psychopathic tendencies in society is to “tie a bag of potatoes or stones to them and drop them in a river”.
I said: “Grandma, what about rehabilitation?” She didn’t exactly understand the word completely but she said: “After killing six people and two children, the river does it.”
And you know what? Even then, capital punishment still feels wrong.
So what you’re saying is that we need a better QR Code format
Because easily scanned data engraved in stone scannable by pocket supercomputer is pretty sci-fi.
I wouldn’t mind getting 900 words about someone in pure text form if it worked, and/or maybe a hologram using some sort of data saving format like pointillism (cloud of points forming a 3D image).
I watched Serenity in theaters on opening day not knowing anything about Firefly, and when Wash got speared, I shit you not, half the audience audibly gasped and more than a few people sounded in genuine distress.
I watched the TV series later and understood why.

The vendor-lockin is so stupid.
AMD released FSR upscaling, and it works on any hardware, of ANY generation, but DLSS?
No, you need “CUDA tensor cores”. They’re super special™.
Unfortunately this is true.
It’s known as shifting baseline syndrome and it’s a cognitive bias / fallacy.

I love how half of you took this as a challenge to see what would be the most expensive project to cause game studios into bankruptcy 😂
Looks inside the genie jar “Uuh— sorry bud we’re all out of those. Would a pitch black one do instead? I’ve got a couple of people who wished for some really bad things, how about a dark… “perfect” soul?”

You should print and frame your comment so you can remember it after you’ve passed your kidney stone
I train LLMs. It do be like this.
However, I highly don’t recommend it for a multitude of reasons: You will always be speaking with a simulacrum of a person and not the actual person.
The simulant may forgive you.
The ex never will.

My partner is neurospicy and uses the front left.
I didn’t really care about which burner until I saw their range, and they’re quite oddly shaped.
Front right is just massive, back right is tiny, front left is normal and then back left is some weird in-between the normal and giant front right fob.
I have absolutely no idea who designed that stove, maybe it was data mined or something
But needless to say, the front left it was
