Yeah, I work with Americans in NZ, they don’t get away with it here if they have a Southern, NY or Cali accent unless they are in a very rural area, but they find it necessary when going to southeast Asia
Logging is done to order too. Crews are directed to lots that have the type and grade of logs, and are cut to lengths that match what the clients are ordering and the ships are ready to take (here in NZ where most logs are exported)

Gravity is a multiplier though. Double the initial fuel and you can plot a much faster route.
If the goal is max interstellar speed and not doing interesting science on the way out, there’s probably a lot of other routes that they could have maximised for velocity

We’ve got stations in NZ where you register the car’s numberplate in the app. The station has cameras. You roll up, start pumping, and then drive off. It’ll bill you later.

Look up Sean the sheepman on YouTube. He has a good series on training some new dogs. They have the drive to do it inately. But need to learn how to do it effectively, not just run straight into the middle of a pack. They also have to learn the handlers commands so they can drive the sheep somewhere useful
