Lenin’s point in What Is To Be Done? was that there is no middle ground between revolutionary socialism and liberalism! Any de-emphasis of Marxist theory strengthens bourgeois ideology by default. What makes this dangerous is that the party, functionally, absorbs the energy of dedicated, loyal people who want to be revolutionaries and channels it into work that never actually threatens power, abandoning the necessary and patient work of developing leadership prepared to support the working class in times of crisis.

This is particularly irksome, and I’m beginning to wonder if they are genuinely not paying attention, or outright gaslighting? I know with pug-nacious, flying-off-the-handle squid, flip-the-bottomless-bucket, and agent 002, it’s outright gaslighting.

You’re not going to “enjoy everything,” or even “experience everything,” in one lifetime. That said, you should try some things, given an opportunity. And some of the most valuable experiences may well be ones you didn’t particularly enjoy. But enjoyment need not make a slave of us, and is also nice.

If you have access to a relative’s land where you can pasture and have a barn, eventually you can lower the cost of boarding and feeding, but the cost in labor may not be worth it.
The savings in feeding comes from planting horse-friendly grains, but only if you do the labor. Horses are gorgeous, intelligent, powerful creatures, and I send best wishes that you maintain it as long as you care to do.
I think we should count the costs as including water, low-paid labor, etc. for any product.
Not really. It does tend to send the undesirable behavior into secret behavior.
It’s what Apple and MS basically do by uploading all your images to iCloud and showing the name in your images folder.
