They are already making AI-specific cards / devices, since the technical requirements are fairly different from consumer GPUs. The thing is, the silicon is made in the same fab, with a limited capacity. So manufacturers are shifting production from consumer devices to far more profitable enterprise customers. The cost won’t come down because the underlying resource (fab capacity) is now “worth more” and consumer supply is lessened.

I’ve put double the garlic a recipe called for before and it was still not enough. Who the hell are these people writing recipes for? Vampires? Or do recipe writers live in some place that has really strong garlic??
