Given the extra amount of volume in your PC’s enclosure, I would love to see a couple 200mm fans for intake and exhaust. Just in general, a smaller number of larger fans will move more air at lower RPMs, so that’s just what would make sense to me if I was building my own ad hoc PC case with larger than usual dimensions.

Whatever cooling holes you make, consider ducting them into your PC case so that the components are sipping on ambient air and efficiently exhausting the heat. If your components are going to be built directly into the desk with no case then make sure they’re not making contact with any conductive surfaces and consider larger diameter fans so you can move enough air without making a ton of noise.

In order to get erstwhile sympathetic leaders like Mamdani to take a firmer stance with police misconduct, there has to be more messaging to voters about defunding the police - because defunding is the only thing local governments can threaten them with, and you’ll have to be ready to play hardball to beat police unions. They’re effectively paramilitary juntas in every jurisdiction, killing with impunity.

Yet even when the defund movement was at its peak, the polling numbers weren’t strong enough to get support for it. The message still has not reached the average voter that cops are unnecessary, bad, and need to go. Mamdani didn’t run on being anti-cop, so it’s weird to judge him by that yardstick anyway, but we have heard him be sympathetic towards anti-cop movements - and his political opponents have used that as a cudgel against him. I think we would be able to expect more action from leaders like him if polling data said a lot more people were in favor of defunding.
