I don’t think freeze drying is ever going to be true mummification (based on your definition of storing it in room conditions) regardless of if there’s a mechanism to remove moisture from the freezer space.
The long-term freezing process itself dries out the body, so its just a matter of waiting before it fully dries out, that part isn’t a problem, and nothing extra really needs to be done to dry it, but what you are left with is basically a sponge of organic material that will want to soak moisture from the air. So so much surface area for moisture to settle into, and then your super dry person starts to get a sheen of mold…
But in total fairness, no mummies can actually be stored in room conditions without degradation for exactly the same reason. Museums put them into climate controlled cases and work very hard to make sure they don’t deteriorate. The only reason Egyptian mummies survived as they did was that it’s pretty dry in the desert, and those tombs were pretty well sealed from weather fluctuations. Most (perhaps all, but im not confident enough to say that) other mummified bodies we’ve found have been frozen. I think (though I’m open to correction here) those basicallly have to stay frozen, or they start to deteriorate. (These didn’t fully dry out because they were encased in ice)
Sure. If you wait long enough, any freezer is a freeze dryer. Thats what freezer burn is.
Freeze drying machines just speed the process up with heat cycles, vacuum, and possibly some circulation at certain points in the cycle. But importantly, in order for freeze dryer machines to actually work decently, the material needs to be cut into very small, fairly even chunks.
Whole bodies are one case where sublimation alone is probably the best bet, maybe make the whole thing a vacuum chamber to drive moisture out faster, but skip the heat part. Importantly, this apparatus would never be cheap if you install anything other than freezing capabilities. Vacuum chambers are difficult to make, and they would need to run for a very long time to fully dry a body.
But the takeaway is if this guy was telling the truth about his absolutely unhinged plans, he at least stumbled upon a solution that would eventually preserve a body. Its a very fragile preservation, but it could work, sure.

FWIW, I’m pretty sure this image comes from an animated short by Disney some time in the last 10 years, but I can’t place which one it is (I have watched so so much animated stuff). But if that’s the case, this is a still frame from a larger work in which ambiguity didn’t exist in the first place. Another three frames and what you want could have been what’s on screen, just not what was grabbed for this.

Being a convicted felon doesn’t mean you are permanently disenfranchised everywhere. In some states you must lobby to be re-enfranchised (and you can guess who gets approved and who doesn’t) and I think Florida is one of those states so any legal stuff there would only require the governor to approve reinstatement of rights and pass that order down to whomever is on the appeal board, and since he’s a conservative shitbag, too, thats a no-brainer.
A lot of other states, including New York, reinstate voting rights once the sentence has been carried out and the felon is no longer serving time or on paper, whatever that might be. If the sentence was a slap on the wrist or otherwise just sort of vanished, welp…
Idk all the specifics about his legal troubles or felon status and voting in other states, but I know a ton of the lawsuits were in New York, and if the others are in Florida, or they have jurisdiction over his voting rights due to that being his residence or whatever other reasoning, the governor would just reinstate that right.
So this one, unfortunately, probably really isn’t the gotcha it looks like.

About half of those long chains are people being unnecessarily hostile and/or talking past each other. I don’t read those past a few comments; don’t like that energy. I do tag whomever is involved so I know to avoid interacting with them in most cases, but that’s about it.
Otherwise I tend to read all the comments as long as its not hopelessly dull.
Its like those old games on the early internet, like 7-up platformers and whatever else, mostly aimed at kids but still. Back when companies actually seemed to care about their brand having a decent reputation or whatever the case used to be. They gave you something fun to do to get your eyeballs willingly on their product. Instead of just trying to force you to see it against your will.
The post office doesnt impose a minimum number, for the record. They don’t care, but don’t like sending them at all. However, its pretty expensive, so if you aren’t paying through the nose for the shipping, the seller is probably subsidizing that cost and that’s where the minimum comes from. I just ordered a trio of specialty breeds this past spring, but the place I bought from sends individual birds if you really wanna spend $70+ for one chick.

Fun fact: the human brain can process speech considerably faster than the human vocalization systems can form it, so you can probably watch most videos on 1.25-1.75 speed wothout missing much, it just takes some adjustment.
At this point I cant watch people talking at a camera on anything slower than 1.5, because thats just the default videos play in (changed a setting on freetube and now cant stand slow), but I have watched 6+ hour videos that way. It cuts a substantial amount of time, and the speed up helps keep me engaged.
If ng tube is nasal gastric, thats also torture, but has to be done twice daily and takes hours each time. I definitely wouldn’t consider that less invasive.

Some places do have it split out, so pto and sick days are seperate, just really heavily depends on the company because there aren’t any regulations about it.
Assuming you get any or have any left, yeah. That or you can take unpaid time off. Though some places frown on that as well.
That is to say, self awareness is highly correlated with anxiety and depression.

Not the one in my car. It slowed about 1 minute per 2 months.
I stopped changing it for daylight savings to see how far off it would get, driven rarely as it was, and the answer is that it seems to be internally maintained even when the car is off because even months I didn’t drive contributed to the lag.
I was gunna rhetorically ask why everyone on this platform feels the need to be so fucking negative all the time, when someone points out something positive, but then I saw your username. Just another obnoxious vegan who can’t keep it to themselves.
